Here the rules for exibart street photography contest 2023.
- The competition is open to everyone that is 18 years and older, professional and amateur photographers alike.
- By entering the Competition you hereby accept these Competition Rules and the Terms and Conditions.
- To enter, you must upload your image via the exibart street website (www.exibartstreet.com).
- Each entrant can submit as many submissions as they wish.
- Image entry criteria:
- Images should be in the highest-quality JPEG, preferably saved in sRGB color model.
- The file name should be under 50 characters.
- We suggest to upload images sized a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side (2000 pixels is even better).
- The system cannot accept files that are larger than 5000 pixels.
- Please ensure that your images are no larger than 4MB size and are in JPEG format.
- Both color and black-and-white photos are allowed.
- Photos and series with signatures, filigrees, watermarks or any other visible marks/information will be disqualified.
- Series will have to contain from a minimum of 3 up to 9 photos.
- Submissions are final, once completed is not possible to change the photos.
- In any case, there are no refunds after the submission has been sent.
- By entering the Competition, you agree and acknowledge that exibart street is permitted to receive and review your registration data. Participants agree that personal data including, but not limited to, name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, processed, stored, and otherwise used for the purposes of conducting and administering this photo competition. At any time, participants have the right to access, review, rectify or cancel any personal data held by exibart street by sending an email to the following address: info@exibartstreet.com
- All entries will be reviewed and pre-screened by our editors and an international group of industry professionals. The screened entries are then reviewed by our international jury. The jury will choose the winners. The decisions of the jury and the exibart street magazine are final and no negotiation will be entered into with respect to any such decision.
- Submissions that have been awarded in a previous exibart street competition are not eligible to win prizes in subsequent competitions. Please consider entering new work. Submissions that have been selected as Finalists in previous competitions NOT ARE eligible to win a prize in subsequent competitions.
- The full name of each entrant whose work is selected as a winner, juror’s pick, or finalist will be published online.
- exibart street reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and remove any photograph that does not comply with the following requirements, even after the photograph appears on the website.
- You are the sole copyright owner and creator of the photographs.
- You have the right to enter your photographs in this competition.
- To the best of your knowledge, the photographs do not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane content.
- To the best of your knowledge, the photographs do not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
- The photograph does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person’s rights of privacy or publicity, and your photograph does not include:
- trademarks owned by third parties.
- copyrighted materials owned by third parties.
- names, likenesses, or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead.
- entries in which you have purchased or secured the right to use stock images.
- You agree to fully indemnify exibart street in respect of all royalties, fees, and any other monies owing to any person by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing.
- Images that purport to be “news” photographs, reporting, photojournalism, or documentary photography, should comply with the ethical guidelines of the National Press Photographers Association in general, as well as those proposed by UNICEF for ethical reporting on children. No people or objects may be added, rearranged, reversed, distorted, or removed from a photograph. If images are staged, this should be made clear in the written statements and captions. It is important, always, to take into account the ethical considerations of photography, and to protect vulnerable people from potential harm that could be inflicted as a result of publishing images that expose or identify individuals or groups who may be or may become vulnerable as a result of the publication of the photographs.
- exibart street recognizes you retain full ownership of the copyright in each photograph that you have submitted.
- The jury’s judgments begin after the competition deadline has passed.
- Judges will not know the names of any of the entrants.
- The winner of each category will be notified by email.
- There are no cash alternatives available for prize winners.
- In some countries, income tax may be applicable to prizes. It is the winner’s responsibility to pay any income taxes related to the prize in compliance with their own country’s law. In such cases the winner agrees to indemnify and keep the exibart street magazine, its parents, affiliates or partners indemnified against any tax liability, charges, fines, penalties or interest, or any other liability incurred by the winner which liability arose as a result of prizes provided to the winner.
- All entrants agree that all photograph(s) submitted to the competition may be reproduced (with photographer copyright credit) and used to conduct and promote exibart street magazine and competitions.
- You acknowledge that exibart street and its event partners assume no responsibility and are not liable for any image misuse.
- exibart street assumes no responsibility for any incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Competition, and exibart street assumes no responsibility for technical, hardware, or software failure of any kind, for lost network connections, garbled computer transmissions, other problems or technical malfunctions with regard to the Competition. exibart street assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, corruption, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries.
- In no event will exibart street its members, event partners, or its officers, directors, employees, be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of any contestant’s access to and use of the website and participation in the competition.
- You agree to participate in related publicity and to the use of your name and winning images for the purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity for exibart street and the Competition without additional compensation. Such requests will not be unreasonably withheld.
- Winners will be announced online.
