There is a wide gender gap in the literacy in India. With no government or NGO support in the area, this rural housewife has taken up the mission of female literacy on her own, trying to motivate other mothers to send their children to school while simultaneously learning themselves. Without a building, and with trains running only twice a day, the railway track becomes the ideal classroom.
