2019 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition
A major collection of stunning photographs comes to Somerset House this spring with the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition from 18 April to 06 May.
The world’s best imagery from 2018 will be on show at Somerset House for the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition. With more than 800 images on display, this global photography exhibition presents all winning and shortlisted entries, including the Photographer of the Year, from this year’s Awards across its four competitions: Professional, Open, Youth and Student.
From portraiture to landscape, architecture to wildlife and fine art to street photography, the selection is truly international in its scope.

In the East Wing gallery will be exhibited a unique curation of images by the Awards’ 2019 Outstanding Contribution to Photography recipient Nadav Kander.
In the West Wing gallery will be work by recipients of the 2018 Professional and Student Grants, the Sony Alpha Female Grant, as well as the shortlist and winning imagery of the ZEISS Photography Award 2019.
The ZEISS Photography Award is now in its fourth year – and is calling on ambitious photographers from across the globe to present their work around the theme “Seeing Beyond – The Unexpected” to the international jury of experts. The ZEISS Photography Award is jointly organized by ZEISS and the World Photography Organisation. Last year, 12,000 photographers from 140 countries submitted nearly 90,000 photos.
The 2019 ZEISS Photo Award is now closed. The winner will be announced April 9, 2019 and will be included in the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition at Somerset House.
Another highlight not to miss is the carefully curated set of images from The Swap Project, an initiative between the World Photography Organisation and the Creativehub where the global photography community swapped their best prints with one another.
The creativehub is a multi-purpose arts platform connecting artists, art businesses, art galleries and arts organizations around the globe.
