This was clicked during the pink festival of Lord Jyotiba near my town, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Lord Jyotiba is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The wooden pole resembles the plowing equipment. Its length/height ranges from 15 to about 80 feet as per family to family. It is worshipped at the start of the summer and then the plowing activity starts on the farms. As its very heavy, lot of people are required to carry it.
