Interesting news for street photographers on budget: Venus Optics will start producing Laowa full-frame rangefinder lenses for Leica M-mount.

Three lenses will be introduced first, two of them will be 9mm f/5.6 (the widest full-frame rectilinear lens for M-mount) and 11mm f/4.5.
The new lenses will fall in the company’s C-dreamer line.

Venus Optics was formed by a group of passionate industry experts and photographers who wish to create unique, practical and affordable lenses.

Their team of optical designers, based in Hefei, located at the eastern part of China and a 5-hour drive from Shanghai, has more than 20 years’ experience and previously designed lenses for Japanese and German manufacturers.
