TTArtisan Unveils the 27mm f/2.8 XF AF Lens for Fujifilm X-Mount Cameras
The 27mm f/2.8 XF lens from TTArtisan is the company’s first autofocus lens for Fujifilm X-mount camera systems. The 41mm equivalent lens comprises six elements organized into five groups, including two elements with a high refractive index. It has a metal body, a seven-blade aperture diaphragm, a minimum focusing distance of 35cm, an aperture range of f/2.8 through f/16, and a 39mm front filter thread.
The lens can be used as a manual lens for manual aperture selection and manual focus using the inbuilt rings in addition to a fully electronic control for both aperture and focus. All EXIF data is transmitted back to compatible X-mount cameras thanks to an embedded chip. The lens features a built-in USB port for firmware updates, but it’s unclear at this point whether it’s micro USB or USB-C. The type of autofocus technology used in the camera by TTArtisan is unknown, but based on the size and general design of the lens, it is most likely a stepping motor.
The lens weighs just 93g and has dimensions of 61mm by 29mm. With this lens’s introduction, TTArtisan can now offer third-party autofocus lenses for Fujifilm’s APS-C X-mount system, joining Sigma, Tamron, and Rokinon/Samyang.
