Nikon is Developing Two New Z-Mount Lenses: 26mm f/2.8 and 85mm f/1.2 S
Nikon has announced on its Instagram page that it is developing two new lenses for Z-mount cameras: a slim wide-angle prime lens, the Nikkor Z 26mm f/2.8 pancake, and the Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.2 S, a fast mid-telephoto prime lens.
The Nikor Z 85mm f/1.2 S is described by the makers as a fast-mid-telephoto prime lens that will become a must-have for portrait photographers, with a focus on those who work shooting weddings, events, and fashion.
“Everything you take with this lens will appear sleek and glamorous,” Nikon promises.
The Nikkor Z 26mm f/2.8 is characterized as a small and light but powerful lens designed for everyday usage. While Nikon does not use the term pancake to describe the lens, it appears to be an extremely thin optic that fits that definition.
Nikon hasn’t yet announced either pricing or availability information.
