Techart TZM-02 Adapter Adds Autofocus in Video
The TZM-02 is a new autofocus adapter from Techart for using manual focus Leica M lenses on Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. As a result of stronger autofocus servo motors, the new second-generation adapter promises higher performance and a more compact design. It also boasts better autofocus. Since the initial Techart Leica M to Nikon Z adapter was introduced two years ago, the company claims that it has improved the concept to make it more practical for photographers and videographers.
The flagship Z9 model, the Z6 and Z7 series, the Z50, and more of Nikon’s most recent APS-C and full-frame Z-mount cameras are all compatible with the Techart TZM-02. According to Techart, the converter can be used in conjunction with other adapters to provide autofocus for practically any lens, including Canon EF, Nikon F, M42, Pentax K, and more. This new design is so thin that it no longer interferes with tripod plates, attachments, stabilizers, or larger lenses.
Techart says that the TZM-02 outperforms other motor-driven adapters on the market in both stills and video AF, not to mention AF-S/AF-C shooting. The first adapter of its sort to offer video AF is the TZM-02. Users can now produce original film by using the distinct visual effects of vintage manual lenses on contemporary cameras like the Z9. The eye-tracking feature is also faultless in video mode.
Techart provides firmware updates for the adapter via a USB port on the adapter’s back cap. Updates can be installed on both the Mac and the PC.
The new Techart Leica M to Nikon Z Autofocus Adapter Gen II (TZM-02) is available for $399.
