Viltrox, a Chinese lens producer, consistently produces high-quality lenses that greatly outperform their low prices. Viltrox has released a new $190 AF 20mm f/2.8 FE lens for full-frame Sony cameras that appears to be extremely impressive. The Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 FE, which was first teased as part of a lens roadmap released in China, is now accessible to photographers.

Viltrox’s new compact prime lens is extremely light, weighing only 157 grams. The Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 FE lens has ten elements divided into eight groups, including two ED lens elements, two aspherical lenses, and a high refractive index element. The lens also has a multilayer HD Nano coating.
In terms of autofocus, the lens can focus as near as 0.19 meters thanks to a noiseless STM focus motor. Viltrox claims that the lens supports eye and face-detect AF modes and is fast and quiet enough for video applications.
