Adventure photographers can now choose from a new backpack from NYA-EVO that blends function and flexibility while still being weatherproof, as the brand is known for.

As impressive as the Fjord 50-C’s many features are, its ability to transform into a backpack with a 50L size is what makes it stand out. There are larger backpacks designed to store photography gear, like as the company’s Fjord 60-C, but the build puts this bag in a good location. It has a lot of room but is still carry-on suitable, making it much easier to travel with. According to the Kickstarter page, the Fjord 50-C features a roll top with a zip closing, allowing users to quickly squeeze in more storage space. It can also be folded in a variety of ways while not in use.

In addition to its shape-shifting powers, Nya-Evo’s Fjord 50-C boasts other functions for adventure photographers. The backpack is constructed of water-resistant Econyl nylon (available in black and pine green) and has a waterproof Hypalon base, so you won’t have to worry about putting it down in snow or rain. It also includes a rain cover to provide additional protection. It also features glove-friendly zipper pulls and buckles, as well as holders for a helmet, rope, snow shovel and probe, twin ice axes, skis, poles, and camping gear.

Because 50L entails carrying a hefty load, the Fjord 50-C features supportive height-adjustable straps and a separate waist belt. There is also a lightweight metal frame to assist keep the backpack in shape and distribute weight more evenly. Inside, users may keep things organized with NYA-EVO’s replaceable camera inserts, which are available in x-small, small, medium, and large sizes, or the Assistant Pouch 1.5, a 1.5L accessory pouch.
