Leica Introduces the Q3 43 Camera
A specifically engineered lens powers the new Leica Q3 43. The APO-Summicron 43 f/2 ASPH. not only joins the family of renowned Leica APO lenses, which are among the greatest in the world, but it also stands out in Leica’s current lineup. The focal length corresponds to the natural perception of the human eye, enabling for the realistic construction of distortion-free motifs through the high-resolution OLED viewfinder. As a result, the variable 43mm focal length is ideal for street photography and portraiture. Like its sister model, the Leica Q3, the Leica Q3 43 has an incorporated macro mode for close-ups.
The Leica Q3 43 produces exceptionally clear, high-contrast photos in any lighting condition while being compact and lightweight, despite the sophisticated design of the apochromatically corrected lens with four aspherical lenses.
The new APO lens performs well at its maximum aperture of f/2, allowing you to isolate subjects from the background with a harmonious bokeh. The APO lens’s high ISO performance allows for fast exposure times even in low light.
Photos and films can be captured at focal lengths of 43, 60, 75, 90, 120, and 150mm using the frame lines displayed in the 5.76MP OLED viewfinder or the touch-sensitive tiltable panel.
In addition to the lens, the Leica Q3 43 is visually distinct from its sister model. The new grey leather contrasts nicely with the black camera body and pays homage to Leica cameras’ timeless style, for which they are known worldwide.
Leica Q3 43 also features a new Leica Look: Leica Chrome. Leica Chrome can be applied to JPEGs to give them an analogue appeal. The growing collection of Leica Looks enables the creation of distinctive, innovative, and striking photographs straight in the camera, ready to be instantaneously shared with the world via the Leica FOTOS app.
Both Leica Q3 models have the same DNA. The Leica Q3 43, like the Leica Q3, has a BSI CMOS full-frame sensor with Triple Resolution Technology that offers resolutions of 60, 36, and 18 megapixels. With an ISO range of 50 to 100,000, a high-precision, rapid hybrid autofocus technology, and a tiltable 3-inch high-resolution touchscreen, this sturdy IP52-rated gadget is ideal for capturing your distinct perspective.
