The new LowePro ProTastic III camera bag series offers a flexible storage system for photographers on the go. LowePro’s legendary ProTactic line of camera bags has been a field shot mainstay for years, and its latest release of four new bags and countless accessories maintains that dependable balance of form and function.

The ProTactic III range has two major bags: the BP 450 and BP 350. Each has four major access points: dual side doors for rapid access to storage, a top opening for a longer telephoto lens, and a full back access zipper that allows access to the whole main compartment.

The main compartment features a number of movable padded dividers that allow photographers to tailor their storage area. The LowePro SlipLock Connection System enables photographers to fully adapt the bag to each shoot’s specs. The bag includes various forms of padding and partitions for improved visibility, as well as the option to give different types of padding for different pieces of equipment.

In addition, LowePro incorporated photographer comments during the bag system improvement process. Some enhancements over the previous edition include an adaptive new harness for a more comfortable carry, an extended webbing attach system on the front, and more outside pockets.

The ProTactic III system now includes two new bags: the ProTactic Lite 150 and 250. Designed for, as LowePro describes it, “photographers during off hours,” these two backpacks are smaller, lighter, and ideal for carrying casual everyday gear. The Lite backpacks can still accommodate gear such as a single camera or a laptop and hard drives, but they are built of lighter material with less padding for situations where several lenses are not required.

LowePro also revealed new ProTactic III accessories. There’s a Utility Belt harness for carrying bigger loads or attaching goods from the hip, Utility Pouches for carrying smaller items and tools, a water bottle pouch, a smartphone pouch, and a new fast strap system for the outside webbing attachment loops.
