FilmNeverDie Nana 35mm Point-and-Shoot Camera is Now Available

FilmNeverDie’s Nana 35mm point-and-shoot camera, which was somewhat delayed from its planned June 2024 release date, is now available globally. The FilmNeverDie Nana was announced in October 2023 as a completely new motorized and reusable 35mm basic film camera, and it was available for pre-order at a discounted price of $130 (it was also successfully funded on Kickstarter).

“The Nana Camera’s development stems from our commitment to simplifying the joy of film photography for a new generation,” explains Gary Wong, FilmNeverDie’s founder and director. “We’ve created a camera that honors the legacy of classic designs while incorporating modern conveniences that today’s photographers expect.”

According to FilmNeverDie, the camera’s story is around simplifying the joy of film photography for a new generation, and it intends to meet the market’s demand for a simple yet high-quality point-and-shoot camera that honors old film aesthetics while still including modern updates.

The Nana features a metal housing, automated film advance, an integrated flash, and a lens with an aspherical element for high-quality photos. The Nana measures 110 x 62 x 38 mm and weighs 300 grams.

The camera takes 35mm film and exposes with a fixed 1/125s shutter speed and f/11 aperture with a 31mm single-element lens. The Nana is touted as focus-free, with a 1.5m to infinity focus range. The business says it is working on an optional attachment that will enable a second focus mode and attach to the front of the lens via the 30mm thread (this attachment is currently in the research and development phase).

The FilmNeverDie Nana is available for $232.
