Fujifilm and Google Announces an Instax Series and Pixel 9 Pro Smartphone Partnership
Fujifilm and Google have launched a collaboration involving Fujifilm’s Instax series and Google’s flagship Pixel 9 Pro smartphone.
Fujifilm has released a rose quartz color version of the Instax Mini Link 3 wireless printer as part of the new cooperation, formally known as the Instax Mini Link 3 Google Pixel cooperation Model. This pink printer looks great with the Rose Quartz color variant of the Pixel 9 Pro smartphone. Google’s latest handheld includes the company’s Fast Pair technology, which allows for a quick and easy connection between the device and the Instax printer.
“Printing images creates lasting memories,” says Bing Lien, head of Fujifilm North America Corporation’s Imaging Division. Lien says, “Pixel 9 Pro users can easily print photographs with Mini Link 3 and utilize their smartphone and printer as creative tools, modifying images in inventive ways thanks to Mini Link 3’s plethora of novel app capabilities. Mini Link 3 allows you to do far more than just print immediate images; when combined with Pixel 9 Pro’s image-making capabilities and speedy connectivity, it brings fun to life.”
The new pink Mini Link 3 is functionally identical to the conventional version, which was released in August of this year. The Mini Link 3 is compatible with the Instax Mini Link App, which includes Instax AiR Studio, a playground where users can capture augmented reality (AR) images, apply decorative effects to their photos, and quickly print and share their creations.
The program provides a variety of stickers, backdrop backgrounds, and animation effects that can be shared as video clips on social media. Users can also access a photobooth-type experience within the app, which records up to six photographs at a predetermined frequency, much like a traditional analog photobooth.
Like the ordinary Mini Link 3, the new Google collaboration version has triple LED lighting, which is a first for the Link series. According to Fujifilm, these bright LEDs serve as status indications and contribute to the printer’s ease of use. The Google Pixel variation, like the conventional version, is small and compact, capable of printing up to 100 Instax Mini instant images on a single charge.
The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 3 Google Pixel Collaboration Model is now available for purchase at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $129.95. This is a $30 premium above the standard Mini Link 3, which comes in sage green, rose pink, and clay white colors.
