Siân Davey: The Creative Body: Photographs 2014–2024

The Martin Parr Foundation is proud to present The Creative Body: Photographs 2014–2024, a landmark survey exhibition showcasing a decade of work by renowned photographer Siân Davey.
This exhibition features selections from Davey’s three acclaimed series—Looking For Alice (2013–2018), Martha (2015–2016), and The Garden (2021–2023)—alongside rarely seen portraits from Communion, a project captured at festivals across the UK.
Originally trained as a psychotherapist, Davey turned to photography to explore themes of human connection and the complexities of everyday life. Her lens captures the intimate rhythms of family and community, inviting viewers to reflect on the dynamic relationship between photographer and subject. Over the past ten years, her work has solidified her reputation as one of Britain’s most influential contemporary photographers.
