Espresso Displays Unveils the 15 Pro Portable Monitor
Espresso Displays has unveiled a new portable display called the 15 Pro, which promises all of the features of the 17 Pro from last year but in a smaller size factor.
“Building on the success of Espresso 17 Pro, 15 Pro provides a more compact, energy-efficient, and brighter option while providing exceptional picture quality, performance, and viewing comfort when used with the ergonomic Stand+,” said to the company.
“Like all espresso Displays products, espresso 15 Pro is built to give people the best in terms of premium design with glass and aluminum, single cable connection to almost any device, and the freedom to produce quality work wherever the road takes you.”
The thin and portable monitor has a higher peak brightness than the 17 Pro, hitting 550 nits versus 450 nits. Furthermore, it can achieve that higher peak brightness with a single connection, which is an advantage over the 17 Pro, which requires both USB ports to be powered (often a host device and a wall outlet) or caps at 400 nits.
The new 15 Pro offers complete touchscreen support for Windows and MacOS, as well as compatibility with DeX-enabled iPhones, iPads, and Samsung Galaxy devices. Espresso also includes a pen that allows you to utilize the screen as a display pad for note-taking, sketching, markups, and more.
The matte-black and simple metal body, according to the manufacturer, make the new display both sturdy and minimalist. The monitor is magnetically attached to the rear of the display, making it easy to store and deploy, and it can be adjusted to a variety of viewing angles.
Espresso Displays claims that the display is compatible not just with the current stand option, but also with the Stand+, which was released last year and gives more height. Thanks to a new “extended” mode, the stand can raise itself to a maximum height of 362mm, a significant increase above the closed height of 119mm. The linked display is available in both landscape and portrait orientations. The Stand+’s additional height allows it to hold Display 15 above a laptop screen, condensing the overall package size on a desk.
Pricing for the new Espresso Displays 15 Pro was not mentioned at the time of publishing, but the business anticipates it will be available in the coming months.
