Sirui Announces Its New Vision Prime 1 Series Lenses
Sirui has announced the release of its new Vision Prime 1 series of T1.4 Full-Frame Cine Lenses, which include 8K production-quality optics and user-changeable mounts that can convert the lenses from Sony E-mount to Canon RF, Nikon Z, and L-mounts.
According to the company, the new lens kit was designed with modern filmmakers in mind. It combines cutting-edge optical performance, a compact design, and the ability to swap mounts to work with numerous camera systems. The lenses are 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm T1.4, each with a lightweight and sturdy aluminum build, a 67mm filter thread, and a uniform size/structure to make replacing lenses when on a stabilizer simple and easy.
The 24, 35, and 50mm lenses weigh about 602, 590, and 599 grams, respectively, and have barrel lengths of 112.4, 110.9, and 102.2 millimeters. According to the company, the lenses have little focus breathing and extremely controlled distortion, with a minimum focus distance of 0.26 meters for the 24mm, 0.3 meters for the 35mm, and 0.43 meters for the 50mm. The lenses’ close focus distance makes them suitable for product photography, portraits, and even tight-space settings.
The lenses incorporate Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass, four High Refractive Index (HRI) glass, and three aspherical lens elements, promising high 8K image quality while remaining compact. This combination of lenses, together with the T1.4 fast aperture, produces a soft, circular bokeh and a cinematic depth of focus.
Sirui is launching the lens combinations in two styles, black and metal gray, so users may select the one that best complements their camera system
Backers may now get the Sirui T1.4 Vision Prime 1 Series of Cine lenses for $549 each, at “early-bird” price. The official sale price will be $649, therefore the Kickstarter campaign provides potential customers a 15% discount.
The lenses are also available in a three-piece set for $1,599 for early backers and $1,899 after that.
