Ahmed Rasel (b.1988, Barishal) is a visual storyteller. He earned a Masters in Bengali Literature from the University of Dhaka (2013) with the ambition of becoming a poet, before realizing that photography could better blend his poetic feelings with his inner vision, personal and collective memory. Later on, he earned a diploma on photography from Counter Foto. He presents contemporary socio-political issues intertwined with his personal experiences. His work has been published in Trouw, Private Magazine, F-stop magazine, among others. He was one of the finalists of the Samdani Art Award 2018 and one of the participants of the Young Subcontinent Project of Serendipity Arts Festival India in 2017. Also, his works have presented as slide slow exhibition at Just Another Photo Festival Delhi and Obscura Photo Festival Malaysia. He Joined in ‘’Roshni Project’’ a collaborative fellowship in 2016 initiated by Counter Foto and Red Orange Communication.
