I am an Indian photographer, based in Kolkata. After two years of working as an indipendent freelance photographer. I started three years ago a cooperation with a Bengali daily news portal. Much to my surprise, the challenge of working as reporter led to a renewed passion for photography ( I did my first photo session in 2012), especially for freelance photography. These days photography allows me to enhance news and feature stories with images, whether from a remote suburb or in Kolkata! Sometimes an image captures a moment in a way words fail to achieve. I aim to engage the reader through my photos; to focus on intriguing subjects and timely events or contemporary issues or conflicts that impact our lives. I believe that a documentary or a street photograph helps train the spotlight on reality.
