Claudio Rosso was born in Savona (Italy) in 1953. In 1979 he has carried out the military service in navy and -from always gotten passionate of photography- during the 18 months of military lever he has realized a series of photographs about the harbor environment that have become an itinerary exposure near the north European branch of the Navigation Society Auronav of Stockholm. In 1981 he has become professional photographer reserving part of his study to photo/graphic extensions and exposures, opened to professionals and amateurs. In the '90 he has begun to use the computer ( the mythical Amiga 2000 © with equally mythical DeLuxe Paint ©) for his graphic elaborations and animations and in '92 he has been elect honorary associate of the Photographic Club of his town. His elaborations have been published on two successive editions of the SIAF Yearbook (Italian Professionals Photographers Association) and on some reviews of field, where he have published some technical articles also. Ended his commercial experience at the end of 2005, he followed the course "Expert in multimedia systems for the promotion of cultural heritage" and "Techniques of production of television news reports”, both by the Center for Professional Training F. Varaldo, in framework of the Regional Development Plan of the Artemisia Project. Since 2006 he is employed as a graphic designer at a company that deals with street advertising and and urban furniture bu of course he continues his photo/video/graphics production and indeed, free from bonds with the client, he is finally free to frame WHAT he wanted, WHEN he wanted and especially AS he wanted, in the true spirit of photographers from the early days ... when his bursting partner don't plan for him other and different interests and commitments !!! In 2002/03 he has won prizes at international competitions in 2 and 3D ComputerGraphics and in 2005 an image of his was selected for the Photo Prize by PC Photo magazine (Editrice Progresso). In December 2005, he was classified winner -in video clip section- at the first Competition organized by the District of his town. In 2010 an image of his was selected at the "Urban Landscapes" contest organized by FotoZona in collaboration with Nikon Italy. In 2013 he won the second prize in the international competition and in 2014 he has won the first prize at the international photo contest "Remember for living: The places of the memories" organized by the Goethe Institut and by the Institut Francais of Rome to remember the 100 years of the WWI. In 2016 one of his videos was hosted at the international exhibition “cosmo GRAFIE” near VARCO Pigneto (Rome) edited by Eva Czerkl.
