About me
Gui Machado brings sensitivity in his DNA. Son of a theater teacher, he has experimented various strands of arts since a very early age.
Still in analog generation, at the age of 20 he got a Nikon F3 camera from his parents and entered the parallel universe of the photography.
At university he learned the technique of shutter speed, emulsions and light control, but he always believed that shiver should be transferred to the picture: "Anyone who sees a photograph should be transported to the original context, feeling through the photographer's eyes the feeling once captured ".
His passion for sleeping photography has broken out and this whole story translates uniquely into light, shadow and contrast.
Gui has a degree in in Advertising and post graduated in Marketing, after Branding, in Media, Information and Culture and finally finished his Master degree in Audiovisual Communication.
He is currently a PhD student at Porto University (Portugal) and his research area is the new digital photography.
Around the world he discovered and unraveled mysteries that, little by little, are freezing in. He made these trips his specialtyy and today has a collection of faces, moments and places.
