Jorge Fresnillo, 25, is a photographer and architect based in Madrid. While studying architecture in his hometown, he made an exchange in Istanbul. There, he took photography and design courses and discovered his passion for photojournalism and documentary photography. After graduating, he studied a post-graduate program in photojournalism in Barcelona. Later on, he went to Romania to work for a local NGO in Harghita County as a producer and communications officer, where he developed a series of projects about rural life in Transylvania. More than in fast photography inserted in the ultra-speed news cycle, he’s interested in slow, long-term projects that help us understanding in a deeper way, digging beneath the surface to comprehend its causes.
