About me
I am Kelvin Juma, born 1993 and raised in (Kibera slums) Nairobi, Kenya. I am developing into a documentary photographer, currently working on a personal long term project "Daily Life Kibera" which aims to bypass all the major stereotypes facing the largest urban slum in Africa -Kibera. This is done by acknowledging the resilience and hard-work put towards trying to live in an underprivileged environment and making a life out of it. Understanding their livelihood, noticing the vibrancy and hope that may come with it by exploring its streets and the people. All these are seen through my eyes, an insider's perspective.
I studied Multimedia at Edulink international College in Nairobi and hold a diploma in Multimedia Specialist, in 2018.
