About me
Photographically Kevin Vandivier has enjoyed over forty years working as a professional freelance photographer shooting for many of the top magazines and corporations including National Geographic Society, Life, Newsweek, Citgo Oil, IBM, Orvis, etc. In the early 80's Kevin worked as a staff photographer for The Dallas Times Herald and in the mid 2000's he also was the Photography Editor for Texas Highways Magazine.
In 2019 Vandivier officially retired from assignment photography to simply shoot the photos he likes to shoot and sells them through his gallery, Vandivier Fine Art Gallery in Cottonwood Shores, Texas, USA. Vandivier's main fine art focus is split between landscapes and wildlife and unique moments of humanity.
Over the years Kevin has won many top national awards for both shooting and picture editing. Vandivier's favorite award to win was the 2012 Ron Howard’s PROJECT IMAGINATION-1st for “THE UNKNOWN” THEME. Later Ron Howard and Eva Longoria created a fine art film based on this winning photo. The other favorite award is 2009 BEST OF PHOTOJOURNALISM-1st H.M. for “MAGAZINE PICTURE EDITOR OF THE YEAR”
