About me
My name is Matteo and I am an independent photographer born in Italy in 1983.
I discovered photography during a long 2 years journey where I felt the huge necessity to tell the stories I was immersed in. To share moments and days with the people I encountered, it gave me the chance to develop empathy, sensibility and listening skills that come across in the pictures I have been taking. Since my early beginning in 2017 I framed people, landscapes, social conflicts, political issues, animals and environmental problems of the southern African continent and part of Asia.
Back in Italy I obtained a photojournalism master at ISFCI (Photography and Integrated Communication Institute) in Rome in November 2019. While I was in Italy, I had been focused on the Genoese event of the Morandi Bridge collapse and its impact on people, business and environment.
