Benro Unveils the SupaDupa 72 Rugged Monopod
Benro’s new SupaDupa 72 Carbon Fiber Monopod is tall, durable, and designed for demanding photographers that use heavy camera equipment. It stands 1.8 meters tall and can hold a weight of up to eight kilograms.
The Benro SupaDupa 72 is a lightweight and compact addition to any wildlife or sports photographer’s arsenal. The monopod weighs only 0.9 kilograms and shrinks to 49 cm. It even comes with a travel case and a strap attachment for the head.
Regarding the monopod’s head, the rubber foot incorporates ball bearings for smooth panning movement. The monopod’s head attaches to an Arca-Swiss clamp (included) and features an inbuilt tilt head. This allows photographers to quickly point their camera up and down to follow their subject. The head tilts 60 degrees backward and 90 degrees forward.
Because sports and wildlife photographers frequently shoot from uneven or slippery terrain, the monopod includes a swappable foot compatible with a spike foot attachment. The SupaDupa 72 features six leg sections, thus there are five adjustment points. These are flip + twist-lock mechanisms, so the photographer merely spins the leg lock to unlock the height adjustment for the section. Benro claims these are simple to manage with one hand, allowing photographers to hold onto their camera while altering the monopod’s height. The monopod also has a cushioned grip for increased comfort during more prolonged use.
The Benro SupaDupa 72 Carbon Fiber Monopod is now available for $299.95. The Benro SupaDupa Tilthead is sold separately for $139.95 and can be used with different monopods.
