Cosina Announces the Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 Aspherical Lens for Nikon Z-mount
Cosina has announced that it would release the Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 Aspherical lens for Nikon Z-mount on May 15.
The Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 Aspherical — or versions of it — is currently available for VM-mount and Canon RF mount, but Cosina intends to add it to its growing selection of Nikkor Z-mount alternatives later this month, the company revealed this week.
The Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 Aspherical has seven elements grouped in six groups, including three extra-low dispersion lenses and one aspherical optic. The lens has an unusually wide aperture range of f/1.5 to f/32, thanks to a 12-bladed diaphragm.
According to the company, the 12 blades render out-of-focus areas naturally, and point light sources are round and soft rather than polygonal, resulting in aesthetically pleasant bokeh.
The Cosina lens also allows for full electronic connection with an attached camera, as well as the transmission of EXIF data, focus peaking, and in-body image stabilization.

The Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 is set to be released on May 15, 2024, for 135,000 yen, or around $860.
