DJI Mini 4K Is a Budget-Friendly Drone Aimed at Beginners

DJI’s newest drone, the DJI Mini 4K, is only $299 and weighs less than 249 grams, so it does not require FAA registration. It promises to be one of the most compelling and economical drone photo and video options.

“The DJI Mini 4K drone is a gateway to capturing the world from new, breathtaking perspectives,” explains DJI in a press release. “Whether you’re just starting your aerial photography journey or looking to elevate your creative potential, the DJI Mini 4K is designed to empower your vision and bring unparalleled creativity to your flights.”

DJI’s next entry-level drone appears to be identical to the Mini 2 SE, with the exception that it shoots in 4K footage instead of the Mini 2 SE’s 2.7K. There is no official announcement on whether it will replace the Mini 2 SE, but it appears to be a good bet, especially given the parallels between the two, such as the Mini 4K’s launch pricing, which is the same as the Mini 2 SE’s latest price.

The DJI Mini 4K can reach altitudes of 4,000 metres and has a range of up to ten kilometers. There is also level-5 wind resistance, and it can fly for up to 31 minutes.
The DJI Mini 4K, which can capture 4K video at up to 30 frames per second and 2.7K/60p footage, has many of the essential features and performance that a first-time drone buyer might want, such as a three-axis gimbal, a long range, and a good battery life. It also has 2x digital zoom, even at 4K resolution, which allows users to go closer to their subject from the sky.

The DJI Mini 4K is currently available on Amazon for $299.
