Fujifilm Launches its Latest Compact Instant Photo Printer Instax Mini Link
We take thousands of photos with our smartphones every day — and that’s pretty much where those images remain. It’s time to give photos, instead of just taking them. That’s why Fujifilm created the Instax mini Link smartphone printer.
The Instax Mini Link, a new compact instant printer designed to make Instax-style prints of your smartphone photos uses a Bluetooth connection to connect to your phone, which accesses your camera roll. Fujifilm says the Instax Mini Link takes just 12 seconds to transfer an image and make a print, and that the printer can produce up to 100 prints on a single charge.
The app is also compatible with Fujifilm X Series and GFX System cameras for on-the-spot printing.
The Instax Mini Link has special printing modes including called Party Print and Video Print.
A Surprise Mode in Party Print hides the collage until the finished print is made, “generating a sense of excitement when used at a party or other social events,” Fujifilm says.
Video Print lets you scrub through a video to capture a still to print with the devices, while Party Print allows up to five different smartphones to pair together to create a collage of images in a single print.
Weighing in at just 200g for excellent portability, the palm-top compact printer is an accessory that can be taken to any location to enjoy photo opportunities. The Link won the Good Design Award 2019 in recognition of its compact and lightweight design in pursuit of portability and its simple yet intuitive operability.
The Instax Mini Link printer will be available in blue, pink and white versions and is expected to retail for $99.95 when it becomes available to purchase on October 4, 2019.
