Godox Introduces the New AD600 Pro II All-in-One Strobe

Godox has unveiled the AD600 Pro II, the successor to its wildly successful AD600 and AD600 Pro wireless outdoor strobe lights. The new AD600 Pro II has a one-tap sync with Godox’s X3 trigger, allowing for easy synchronization between many devices in the field.

“The AD600 Pro II’s innovative One-Tap Sync function allows for quick synchronization with X3 Flash Trigger. No more tiresome Channel and ID switching; simply press the wireless sync on the X3 and select the sync icon on the AD600ProII, and they’ll synchronize wirelessly in a matter of seconds, immersing you in creative productivity straight away,” Godox says.

The new light has flash durations ranging from 1/220s to 1/11,760s, as well as power settings ranging from full (1/1) to 1/512. Because of its short flash durations, the AD600 Pro II supports high-speed sync up to 1/8,000s. There is also a secondary Freeze Mode, which provides an even shorter flash duration of 1/20,400s.
Another enhancement is a greater selection of group selections and a better on-flash LCD. The color panel displays all 16 of the AD600 Pro II’s groups in different colors, making it easier to coordinate complex multi-light setups. The display also offers improved readability in strong light settings.

Godox claims that it has made more usability improvements, including the modeling light. The new modeling light is a 40-watt bi-color LED that runs continuously. Although the AD600 Pro II is clearly geared toward photographers, Godox claims that this new modeling light is color-accurate and strong enough to serve as a continuous light source for video applications. According to the manufacturer, the modeling light can also be utilized as a supplemental fill light or to warm up a shot.

The AD600 Pro II is compatible with a variety of Bowens mount accessories, such as beauty dishes, reflectors, softboxes, and more. It also works with an optional H600P extension head, which allows up to two meters of extension to move the flash head and, according to the makers, makes it easier to hang or mount overhead in studio situations.

A detachable battery, USB-C, AC, or DC are all options for powering the flash. The Godox UC46 USB charger charges the AD600 Pro II, 400 Pro, and 600 series lights by power outlet or USB. The charger responds to each individual light, ensuring that no cells overload. It also features an LCD panel that shows the battery level.

The Godox AD600 Pro II is now available for $899.
