Godox Unveils the Retro-Styled iM30 Flash
Godox has announced the iM30, a consumer-grade on-camera flash weighing only 78 grams. The iM30 is Godox’s latest tiny flash. Godox says the iM30 provides more excellent fill light than built-in camera flashes, resulting in brilliant, natural illumination and increased photo quality.
You can manually change the flash power in seven stages, from 1/64 to 1/1 (maximum). A dial on top of the flash adjusts the power, and there is also a power indicator light and mode buttons. The flash has an integrated 2.5mm sync socket and can be activated by an additional flash using the optical sensor mode.
The flash’s color temperature is 6,500K (plus or minus 200K). The iM30, powered by two AAA batteries, provides around 230 full-power flashes and recycles every 3.6 seconds at maximum power.
According to the production plan, the Godox iM30 will be available in October. The flash costs $34.90 and is currently available for preorder.
