Venus Optics has announced the release of five new manual Laowa lenses at CP+, including a 25mm f/0.95 lens for Micro four Thirds, a 33mm f/0.95 APO lens for APS-C, and the full-frame 35mm f/0.95, 45mm f/0.95, and 12-24mm f/5.6 lenses. Venus Optics hasn’t shared pricing or availability information on these lenses at this time, but we do know the specifications shared on Sightron’s CP+ online exhibition.

Laowa 25mm f/0.95 MFT

The Laowa 25mm f/0.95 MFT lens is constructed of 11 elements in 8 groups, including one aspherical element, one low-dispersion element, and three high-refractive elements. It features an aperture range from f/0.95 through f/16, uses a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, has a 62mm front filter thread, and has a minimum focusing distance of 25cm.
The lens measures 71mm in diameter, 86mm long, and weighs 570g.

Laowa CF 33mm f/0.95 APO

The Laowa CF 33mm f/0.95 APO lens is constructed of 14 elements in nine groups, including one aspherical element, one low-dispersion element, and four high-refractive elements. It features a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, uses a 62mm front filter thread, and has a minimum focusing distance of 35cm.
The lens measures 71.5mm in diameter, 83mm long, and weighs 590g. It will be available for Canon EF-M, Fuji X, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount camera systems.

Laowa FF II Argus 35mm f/0.95

The Laowa FF II Argus 35mm f/0.95 is constructed of 14 elements in 9 groups, including one aspherical element, one low-dispersion element, and four high-refractive elements. It features a 15-blade aperture diaphragm, uses a 72mm front filter thread, and has a minimum focusing distance of 50cm.
The lens measures 76.8mm in diameter, 103mm long, and weighs 755g. It will be available for Canon RF, Nikon Z and Sony E mount camera systems.

Laowa FF II 45mm f/0.95

The Laowa FF II 45mm f/0.95 is constructed of 13 elements in 9 groups, including one aspherical element, one low-dispersion element, and one high-refractive element. It features a 15-blade aperture diaphragm, uses a 72mm front filter thread, and has a minimum focusing distance of 50cm.
The lens measures 76.8mm in diameter, 110mm long, and weighs 850g. It will be available for Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount camera systems.

Laowa FF II 12–24mm f/5.6 C-Dreamer Ultra-Wide Zoom

The Laowa FF II 12–24mm f/5.6 C-Dreamer Ultra Wide Zoom is constructed of 15 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical elements and three low-dispersion elements. It features a five-blade aperture diaphragm and has a minimum focusing distance of 15cm.
The lens measures 69.4mm in diameter, 74mm long, and weighs 497g. It will be available for Canon RF, Leica M, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount camera systems.

As said before, no pricing or time of availability was provided at the announcement for any of the five lenses, but Sightron Japan and Laowa together presented a five and a half hour seminar that discusses the lenses and shows a few sample images from each that weren’t available on the Signtron’s CP+ website.
