Leica Unveils a Summilux-M 1,4/35mm FLE ASPHERICAL 10 Jahre Summilux Limited Edition Lens
Without drawing attention to this event, Leica announced a new anniversary limited edition of the 35mm Summilux-M FLE Aspherical lens: Leica Summilux-M 1,4/35mm FLE ASPHERICAL “10 Jahre Summilux”. Only 110 lenses were produced – 10 pieces for every production year of the FLE-version (2010-2020).
The Leica Summilux-M 1.4/35mm FLE ASPHERICAL was introduced in 2010 and set new standards for a compact, high-speed 35mm lens.
The imaging performance and quality and, above all, the very concise three-dimensional image look are more reminiscent of a medium format than a full-frame lens.
A small series of 110 pieces was launched to mark the ten-year anniversary of the market launch of the lens. 10 pieces per year (including “year of birth”). Each lens has a special number, which results from the annual number of pieces and the year, for example, 08/2018.
Each lens includes a corresponding Leica certificate in the scope of delivery.
The Summilux-M 1.4/35mm FLE ASPHERICAL “10 Jahre Summilux” is finished with a grey feet scale, a black index point, and a metal front cap. The technical specifications correspond to the regular series version.
The lens, which is extremely attractive not only in terms of aesthetics but also in terms of collectibles, should not be missed. The price of the item, which is aimed at collectors rather than photographers, is 14,500 euros.
