Lomography Announces the Lomo’Instant Wide Glass

Lomography has unveiled the Lomo’Instant Wide Glass, which the business deems “the best instant camera on Earth.”

With a 90mm multi-coated glass lens, the Lomo’Instant Wide Glass offers sharper prints on Fujifilm Instax Wide film than any other camera. It produces rich, realistic colors while maintaining the expected charm and character of instant photography.

“With a close focusing distance of just 0.3 meters (0.98 feet), [Lomo’Instant Wide Glass] captures even the finest details — down to the tiniest freckle on a model’s face — making every shot a masterpiece,” Lomography boasts.

Lomography describes its new camera as intended for studio and fashion photography. The Lomo Instant Wide Glass claims professional-quality results “in seconds.”

The automatic aperture has two f-stops: f/8 and f/22. The shutter speed ranges from eight seconds to 1/250s, with auto and f/22 modes, as well as a fixed 1/30s shutter speed and bulb mode. The camera allows for limitless multiple-exposure shooting and enables exposure correction (+/- 1EV). The Lomo’Instant Wide Glass features a built-in flash above the lens.

The lens can focus in three zones: 0.3, 0.6, and one to two meters, as well as infinity. The lens is compatible with Lomography’s Lomo’Instant Splitzer lens adapter and can accommodate 52mm screw-on filters.

The Lomo’Instant Wide Glass is powered by four AA batteries (1.5V) and works with an included remote control that is elegantly integrated within the lens cap. The remote control operates on a single CR2025 (3V) battery. The new instant camera also enables external flash via a PC-sync connector, making it more suitable for studio or fashion shooting settings.

The Lomo’Instant Wide Glass is now available for purchase straight from Lomography for $279.
