Meike Introduces the 33mm f/1.4 AF APS-C Lens

Meike has introduced a new 33mm f/1.4 autofocus prime lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The Meike 33mm f/1.4 AF lens provides a 50mm equivalent focal length for Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, and Sony E-mount cameras. It is relatively compact and lightweight, measuring approximately 83 millimeters long and weighing 314 grams.

The Meike 33mm f/1.4 AF includes a dozen lens elements grouped into nine groups, a manually adjustable aperture (f/1.4 to f/16), and a minimum focusing distance of 0.4 meters. Meike claims that two extra-low dispersion components within the lens greatly minimize chromatic aberrations.

Meike guarantees no focus breathing, which means the lens’ field of view remains constant during focusing, an important factor for video users. The business also says that its new 33mm f/1.4 lens has outstanding sharpness across the frame and is well-suited to portrait and landscape photography.

Perhaps the most tempting aspect of Meike’s new 33mm f/1.4 APS-C AF lens is its price. The lens is now available for $229.99 in E, X, and Z mounts. The X and Z-mount variants are presently shipping, while the E-mount version will be available later, on August 15.
