Meike’s Low Budget 50mm f/1.7 Lens is Coming for Both Nikon Z and Canon RF Systems
Until today most of the lenses announced for the Nikon Z and Canon RF mount systems have been quite expensive.
The Hong Kong-based camera equipment company Meike try to change this trend with the launch of an affordable 50mm f/1.7 manual-focus prime lens for both Canon and Nikon’s full-frame mirrorless camera systems.
This lens featured a brushed metal construction, metal bayonet mount, weather sealing and multi-layer nano optical coatings.
Other specs and features of the lens include 6 elements in 5 groups, a 52mm filter size, a minimum focusing distance of 1.64 feet (0.5m), and a weight of 10.9oz (310g).
Meike’s 50mm f/1.7 was originally launched for Sony E mount cameras, back in May 2018.
Although the price has dropped a little from $130 to $110. It’s also available for Fuji X series at the same price.
The Meike 50mm f/1.7 is available now over on Amazon for $140, though the price may be as low as $110 depending on availability.
