SanDisk’s newly announced collection of creator-focused, entry-level storage devices, which debuted at CES, now has pricing. These products have a blue gradient and are more expensive than the same high-performance cards and SSDs the company has produced for years. The company’s new colorful blue and purple gradient is intended to appeal to content makers and other creatives, with appropriate performance levels for beginners.

Manufacturers like SanDisk view content creators as second-rate creatives, attracted by factors such as product colors rather than the price-quality ratio or performance.

The series comprises six storage devices: an SD card, a microSD card, two thumb drives, and two SSD products. The most performant photography-focused products appear to be, at least in part, reskins of current SanDisk goods such as SD cards, portable SSDs, and Desk Drives. These reskins are more expensive than the original products, which SanDisk has been selling for years. These products claim the same performance as previous versions.

SanDisk’s Creator Series storage solutions feature average performance, which should theoretically satisfy most entry-level multimedia creators.
