Sirui introduced its first wide-angle autofocus anamorphic lens to the Vision Prime 1 Series of lenses. The 20mm T1.8 1.33x S35 AF Anamorphic lens is coming to Fujifilm X, Sony E, Nikon Z, and M43 mounts.

Following the release of the 40mm T1.8 1.33 anamorphic lens in December, the new lens is quite tiny, measuring only 96 millimeters long and only 480 grams. It has a wider field of view and a minimum focus distance of 0.4 meters, which Sirui claims makes it a great addition to any filmmaker’s gear because it can deliver a unique anamorphic look for a low $679 price.

According to the company, the addition to the current trio of Vision Prime 1 Lenses is intended to satisfy the demands of high-resolution 8K output. Sirui accomplishes this by combining aspherical lens elements, such as ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and HRI (High Refractive Index) glass, to provide the best optical performance for the price. As a video-oriented lens, it is also intended to manage focus breathing and provide low distortion.

The new wide-angle lens employs an STM motor, which promises quick, precise, and quiet autofocus. With its 1.33x anamorphic squeeze factor, filmmakers may create a dramatic effect with distinctive, eye-catching hexagonal bokeh when wide open and conventional oval-shaped bokeh at T2.4 and above. The system also has two different anamorphic flare options: blue and “neutral.” Adjust the aperture with the de-clickable aperture ring at the lens’s base. Users can easily switch between manual and autofocus modes using a click-switch on the lens barrel, which also contains an Autofocus Lock (Customizable) button.

Sirui’s new 20mm T1.8 Autofocus Wide-Angle Anamorphic lens, like the 40mm, is the first of its kind. It comes in two colors (Black or Metal Gray) and four mount options (Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Micro Four Thirds, Sony E). The lens also uses the same 67mm filter thread and 72mm outer font size as the rest of the Vision Prime 1 series, ensuring consistency and cohesion.
