Tilta Updates its Khronos Ecosystem for iPhone Filmmakers
Tilta has introduced an upgraded version of its Khronos ecosystem for iPhone filmmakers. The updated system for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max includes a protective casing, a modular design, and improved physical controls.
The Tilta Khronos system includes a protective case available in three different colors. This case serves as the foundation for users to attach a variety of accessories, including grips, mic mounts, lighting, Arca Swiss plates, port extensions, filters, USB-C hubs, and more. The Tilta Khronos case features integrated hardware that powers attachments, and with certain add-ons, users may utilize specialized physical buttons to manage focus, zoom, and other camera settings.
In comparison to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the new Tilta Khronos cover is 15% lighter. This reduces the weight of the iPhone 16 Pro version to 58.5 grams (2.06 ounces), while the Pro Max cover weighs 67 grams (2.36 ounces). While 15% is hardly a significant weight loss, every bit counts.
The case’s structure is aluminum alloy and has a kickstand and finger strap.
The Khronos iPhone 16 Pro case costs $129. The Tilta Khronos is also available in various kit configurations with included extras, such as a handheld kit with a grip for $269 and an ultimate kit with a USB-C hub, wooden knob, and small LED panel for $449. Tilta’s store offers Khronos lens adapters, cooling systems, Arca adapters, SSD holders, cold shoe fast release adapters, wireless receivers, filters, and more.
