Wacom Unveils the Movink 13 OLED Pen Display

Wacom’s latest product is the Wacom Movink, a 13-inch OLED pen display that the company describes as “always ready to go.” The Movink is Wacom’s first OLED pen and touch display. Thanks to its OLED design, which eliminates the need for a dedicated backlight, unlike LED displays, it is Wacom’s lightest and smallest pen display.

The Wacom Movink weighs only 420 grams (14.8 ounces) and measures four millimeters (0.16 inches) thick at its narrowest point. A single USB-C to USB-C cable links the tablet to a Mac or PC, providing power and display connectivity. The tablet may also communicate with other devices, such as smartphones. However, they may not be able to provide enough power to the tablet, thus there is a backup USB-C port for supplemental power when needed. The Movink 13 can run macOS, Windows, ChromeOS, and Android.

The 13.3-inch Full HD Samsung OLED is Pantone Validated and Pantone SkinTone Validated. It has a nearly infinite contrast ratio and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 95% of Adobe RGB, which is outstanding.

Wacom promises a very responsive pen experience with the Pro Pen 3 stylus. Latency is less than a millisecond, which is critical for a natural drawing experience. The bundled pen has a slightly different nib than Wacom’s standard pens and was specifically built for the new Movink.

“With remarkable pen sensitivity and tilt detection, our newest pen allows you to draw everything from bold brushstrokes to delicate lines just how you see them. It has a narrower but more visible nib and is made out of replaceable parts that allow you to configure it as you want: change the grip thickness, tweak the center of gravity, or add and remove side switches. Wacom boasts that the Pro Pen 3 will bring you closer than ever to the pen-on-paper experience.

The pen has 8,192 levels of pressure. However, the tablet is also compatible with various pens, such as the Pro Pen 2 and third-party products. It is highly useful for photographers to make exact local modifications immediately to a photo using a natural brush.

The Wacom Movink 13 is now available for purchase at $750.
