Micro Mirrorless Camera System is a new Kickstarter campaign that aims to strike a compromise between compactness, quality, usability, and price. The result is an ultra-compact interchangeable lens system geared at travelers, content creators, and smartphone upgraders.

“I’m Back” draws inspiration from Yashica’s rich history to create for the present. Yashica has a 75-year history and renowned goods that have contributed to its reputation of excellence. Now, in collaboration with I’m Back, a vibrant young firm inspired by creativity, we intend to launch innovative and adventurous items. By recognizing Yashica’s past, we recognize the importance of moving forward. Thus, the Micro Mirrorless Yashica – I’m Back emerges, a blend of heritage and innovation,” according to the company.

The sensor captures 12-megapixel RAW/jpeg photographs and appears to be 1/2.5″ in size with a 5.9 crop factor. The maximum video resolution is 4K (3840×2160/24fps), with 1080 up to 60fps in MPEG4 or H.264. Maximum ISO is 3200.
The Micro Mirrorless device also includes a battery grip for extended sessions. A flip-out screen is also on board, and an additional attachable EVF mockup is scheduled for later (no time window is given at this time). There are no claims made regarding weather sealing, etc. The Micro Mirrorless camera system will, of course, require a Micro SD card and feature USB-C, Mini HDMI, and 3.5mm audio inputs.
Three prime lenses will be offered at launch: 3.4mm wide (20mm equivalent), 8.6mm standard (50mm equivalent), and 25mm tele (150mm equivalent).
