Zeapon Announces the New Micro4 Slider

ZEAPON, a Chinese manufacturer, has just unveiled the fourth edition of their Micro sliders, the Micro4 series. These tiny double-distance sliders, which are available in both manual and motorized models, have a maximum payload capacity of 12kg/26.4 lbs horizontally and 4.5kg/9.92 lbs in any other direction. The motorized models have a redesigned motor unit that is quieter and has a touchscreen.

The slider has a wide range of motion rates, from practically imperceptible 0.18 mm/s for detailed macro pictures to a fast 178 mm/s for dynamic dolly motions. The instantaneous speed adjustment knob enables artists to control motion in real time.

The Micro4 is fueled by regular Sony NP-F batteries, but it may also be charged by an external power bank via USB-C. This dual power option enables continuous operation, which is crucial during extended shots or remote jobs. According to Zeapon, a regular NP-F970 battery can run the slider for up to 1,016 minutes, or approximately 17 hours at standard speeds.

Zeapon’s Micro4 Series is offered in a variety of configurations, including the M500, M700, and M1000 for manual operation and the E500, E700, and E1000 for motorized use. These versions vary in slider length, travel distance, and weight to meet different needs and preferences. For example, the M500 has a compact 15-inch slider length and a travel distance of 23 inches, making it excellent for portability. Meanwhile, the M1000 slider extends to a length of 24 inches, giving it a generous 42 inches of travel distance for larger motions.

The ZEAPON Micro4 series sliders are now available for preorder, with prices ranging from €428,95 for the M500 to €572,95 for the M1000. The motorized version starts at €736,95 for the E500 and goes up to €879,95 for the E1000.
