Zoom Releases the Q8n-4K Handy Video Recorder
Audio specialist Zoom has just announced the immediate availability of its latest product: the Zoom Q8n-4K is not only an audio-first video camera but also a direct successor to the Q2n-4K, which was released back in 2018. The concept of an audio-first video camera might seem odd at first glance, but the Zoom Q8n-4K Handy Video Recorder is a powerful tool for content creators, indie filmmakers, and musicians who need to keep their production setup small and portable.
Built with a more contemporary and sturdy enclosure, the Q8n-4K sports a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor with 16MP resolution, which provides 4K video resolution (1080/720p @ 60fps) in MPEG-4 AVC/h.264, HDR (High Dynamic Range) image processing, and support for new-generation Zoom Mic Capsules 2.0, including Shotgun, XY / AB, and even VR (360 Audio) microphones, suitable for the widest choice of audio and video recording.
In addition, the Q8n-4K mounts a newer monitor LCD that conveniently folds on the camera back panel and yet it allows for selfie shots by easily moving around at your convenience. Two external XLR inputs are also now positioned on the side panel to allow for simultaneous recording of 4 audio tracks. The Q8n-4K compact design makes it the most flexible 4K Video Recorder/Webcam for musicians and YouTube creators capturing and streaming their live performances from anywhere with unrivaled audio and video quality.
The Zoom Q8n-4K is available now for $399.99. More info on Zoom’s website.
