About me
Nicola Fioravanti (b. 1985) is an Italian photographer who lives and works in Paris.
Nicola’s journey is a little different than most. After establishing a successful career as a musician, performing with renowned orchestras like the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Munich Chamber Orchestra, and later pioneering projects as a creative developer collaborating with entities like Codecademy and Google Enterprise, he made a deliberate shift to dedicate himself entirely to photography.
His work focuses mainly on street photography and attests to a constant exploration of the potential of color in urban environments. Rather than using color as a simple means of representing reality, he uses it as the defining element of his photography.
Nicola Fioravanti has been awarded in prestigious competitions such as Sony World Photography Awards, Canon 'Come and See', Le Prix de la Photographie de Paris ( PX3 ), International Photography Awards, The Independent Photographer, Tokyo International Foto Awards, Life Framer among others.
His work has been exhibited internationally in prestigious venues such as Somerset House in London and the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
His photographs have been featured in publications by Canon, Corriere della Sera, Die Welt, Die Zeit, Elle, El País, Forbes, Grazia, Marie Claire, PhotoVogue, Repubblica, Vogue, and various other distinguished publications and platforms.
Recently, Nicola Fioravanti has been chosen by a distinguished jury led by the iconic Sarah Moon, alongside leading figures in French photography scene, for the Tremplin Jeunes Talents residency at the esteemed Festival Planches Contact in Deauville, France.
