Since his first year of major in anthropology, Nicolás found great fascination for art and, particularly, for photography. By knowing the possibilities, functions and meanings that art acquires within the social world, he found through photographic production a practical and useful way to communicate and express what he saw from anthropology; Photography became, then, a tool to communicate and express social realities. For this reason, he decided to study some photography subjects in the art department of the Universidad de los Andes, which allowed him to understand more the photographic language, the use of a camera and visual narratives.
