Tokyo is a city of contrasts. Between the skysrappers and busy shoppingstreets lit by LED screens playing weird commercials you’d find shinto shrines and temples. These shrines and temples are regularly visited by the locals. This picture was shot during the ceremonie celebrating the anniversary of Emperor Meiji’s birthday and Meiji Jingu’s enshrinement anniversary. A bunch of salarymen stood at equal distance of each other to honor the anniversary and recieve the blessing of the Meiji shrine priest.
