This and the remaining pictures of this series were taken in Treichville, an old neighborhood of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. I liked the faded look of the facade mellowed by the sun over time, the young man relaxing in front, and the feet sticking out in the background beyond the door. The shot was taken not long before sundown, and the elements in this picture taken together to me radiated a calm, peaceful and contemplative mood.
