Les Marolliens Series
I took these photos in the Quartier “Les Marolles” (Brussels). The day I took the photos there was a very colorful and popular party, a parade of giants also organized by the Spanish colony. The Belgian and Spanish flags look together.Among the typical giants of Brussels we see the giant “Don Quijote”. The Marolles is the district of the true talk of brusseleer. The Marolles, land of undesirables, has always welcomed the most disadvantaged inhabitants, but also the most loving of freedom. It’s inhabited by artisans, non-native workers and the elderly.
